Compassion and Patience will prepare a daily feast of Forgiveness so that you let go of your pain, and heal.
 
Mercy will visit in your dreams, and you will learn to look forward and walk humbly into All the Pathways of Good.

Every Day Joy will Awaken you, so that your heart is filled with the Truth of My Heart.

Love Has Many Roads

Beloveds,


We may walk, ride a bike or take the bus. Some drive a car, row a boat or sail on the ocean. Others travel mostly by train and plane.


No matter our culture or religion; no matter what country you live in--some things about this world are truly the same.


There will be rains of kindness, storms of difficulty and lessons of Awakening to the Love. Through Love, we learn to let go of anger or fear.

We can embrace our power to heal, forgive, share and walk as Beings infused with the Creator's Grace!


Breathe Deeply Four Times. Allow each breathe to be filled with Love.


Today re-member, Love Has Many Roads and Desires only to be Awakened in Every Heart so that All may live and know the Sunshine of Hope!

Re-Membering Ancient Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too

(Inspired by the Teachings of Elizabeth A. Hin)

The sun shone on a crisp Fall day,
and the wind blew so that leaves
danced as old friends, and Eternal Lovers.

Even now the music plays in my head.
A drum beats steadily
as bells create joyful melodies of Grace.

It was then that many were reborn.
Reborn with the understanding
that Love is patience in the knowing
and feeling of humility, and compassion.

Many were re-born knowing
Love is all there is, and ever was.

And therefore it is no surprise
that today we find ourselves
amongst the fallen red/orange/yellow/green leaves
and gather them tenderly
as if they are our most precious possessions.

For these leaves represent
the passage of time---a settling,
an understanding, an appreciation of Grace.

Ancient Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too
are surprised, really,
that we don’t re-member
to fully embrace the breath of our hearts.

 It is a breath as sweet as jasmine,
 as salty as an ocean breeze,
 as light and refreshing
 as the smell of trees when it rains.

 The breath is all things
 that allow us a new understanding of the old.

 We often have reason for celebration
 for we are ancient in our desire,
 in our faith, and our understanding.

 

And re-member, since the beginning of time
Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too

have said that
Peace is a pathway that lies
beneath each thought, feeling, and action.

Peace is an opportunity 

to create a world of tranquility
filled with hope, and manifested by healing.

 Peace is the smile of joy
 on a child’s face as she or he
 holds the hand of a grandparent
 and adoringly they say to eachother,
 I Love you!

 Peace is each of us re-visiting our anger
 and forgiving ourselves through Love.
 Peace is honoring the healing process
 and holding a space for the joy
 that can come after.

 Peace is each of us walking tranquilly
 with no guns, no weapons of mass destruction,
 and no more red buttons in the white house
 created to annihilate the world.

 Peace is hope, day and night
 illuminated by hard work, and the quest
 for cures of all the ills of our society.

 Peace is illuminated by each step into Grace
 and the reconciliation of differences
 that now serve to plant
 new seeds in our Universal Garden.

Ancient Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too
are surprised, really,
 that we don’t re-member harmonics
 as the flowers of Grace which eternally
 have formed new bouquets of hope,
 of infinite healing, of courage,
 of solutions to age old challenges.

 These bouquets honor and salute
 our entire sentient family
 and reflect a unique understanding
 of the future of the Universe.

Ancient Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too
are asking us to become
more aware of a special sense of order.

Rebirth, transformations,
endings, beginnings again, and again
remind us that there is always cause for celebration,
always an opportunity to expand our vision,
 and our hearts.

Ancient Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too
are asking Us to pay more attention;
 to walk in the field of miracles,
 to embrace the newness of leaves
 fallen with hope, appreciation and courage.

 What if in this moment we imagine
 a potential new healing
 supported by angels, masters and spirit guides
 as well as trees, mountains, oceans,
 sea lions, eagles, doves, dolphins and whales.

Ancient Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too
tell us that Truth is the constant re-minder
and the unearthing in the Now.
Truth is the intuition and courage
within each of us.

Truth is the desire to live, hope and dream
of  Love---of a tranquil world with opportunity,
healing, food, equity,
and the fulfillment of good dreams for all.

Truth is a new song created by the Symphony.
The chords are stronger, the harmony intensified.
Surety is the reality.
 Resistance too is a part of the Song.
Together it all becomes a Symphony of Love
within the passage of time.

Love is traveling through unknown pathways.
Love is with new purpose.
Love is with new meaning.
It is a song where fear is transformed
into hope with the courage to take
a solo of compassion created by humility.

The Symphony of Love creates a
New Infinite  that carries us beyond; in this time,
 and beyond, the beyond, the beyond!

Ancient Grandmothers and Grandfathers Too
remind us that Joy is in the be-ing,
 in the recognizing, in the acceptance of Love.
 As breathing creates the pathway
 for the journey of Love
 into new sound vibrations of Harmonic Grace.

Turning 60--My New B’Earth Year Reflection!

Beloveds,

 I Breathe Ten Times In Gratitude and Love. In this Lifetime, I came to Earth section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 4:28am on October 22nd in the year of 1954. Though I come from Eternity and will return to Eternity, in Earth time, I am 60 years old.

Today I Thank the Creator for the opportunity to learn, grow and serve. I dedicate this day to My Precious Mother who birthed me, guided me, nurtured and Loves me. I invite you in joining me in celebrating My Mom, Betty J. Tilman.

 Here are the feelings and words of my Heart for My Mother. Maybe you will share your memories with your Mother!


Dear Mom--I feel so privileged to have you as a Mother and to have journeyed with you in this lifetime. Looking back on this almost 60 years on Earth/Heart, my life has been one of learning, adventure and more Joy than I thought imaginable. 

From the Dr. Seuss days of “Green Eggs and Ham” and the rhyming poetry of Paul Laurence Dunbar, to my rebellious teenage years where I sought solace in everything "Black" from Ebony and Jet Magazine, to the poetry of Langston Hughes, Sojourner Truth and Gwendolyn Brooks, as well as the writing and film making of Gordon Parks, the music of Roberta Flack, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Ashford and Simpson and so many and much more--- to my rocky mistakes and disillusionment of young adulthood-You Exposed Me to the Best! 

Sometimes I was fearful. You pushed and pushed and told me that I had a right to walk any path I choose in the World. So often I felt that I was not good enough and unworthy of these great gifts. People whispered behind your back and made fun of me when I articulated with my extensive vocabulary. They said I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth.
 
Looking back, it was funny how some of the relatives and community associates or so called friends looked for ways to undermine your authority and convince me to go right when I should have gone left. What I thought I wanted was to be "normal". I didn't understand that being different and unique was a Great Gift. 

Though I tried to run away from all you had taught me, it was so imprinted in my mind and my heart and my Soul that the further I ran, the closer I came to it.
 
In 1970 you sent me to West Africa by way of Europe for a few months. Today travel is like eating chocolate. I Love it! Travel has helped me become a person who respects land learns from people of all different cultures and religions. I honor all faith traditions and continue to explore the Divine Essence of MotherFatherG-D through Love.

 I look at myself now and know that I am a product of Your Magnificent Efforts! Thank You for All You have done for me. Your goodness inspires me. Your toughness helped me learn how to survive in a World that would say "Who do you think You Are??", Instead of "How Can I Help??". 

Thank You for teaching me to say "YES I Can" from the time I was a child--- long before the campaign days of President Barack Obama. 

Thank You for the square dancing and swimming at the YWCA, dance and drama at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, camp in Maine at Blueberry Cove and studying musical instruments like the violin and recorder. I never did master either but at least I love music! 

Thank You introducing me to Khalil Gibran, Shirley Chisholm, Harry Belafonte, Maya Angelou, Bucci Emmecha, Jomo Kenyatta, members of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr, Malcom X, Nelson Mandela and so many Heroines and Heroes who have walked this Earth, un-named here, but never forgotten.

Thank You for teaching me to walk with integrity, to use my voice for positive change, and to Love and support others on their life journeys.

 Betty J. TIlman, I feel so privileged to have you as a Mother and to have journeyed with you in this lifetime. Looking back on this almost 60 years on Earth/Heart, my life has been one of learning, adventure and more Joy than I thought imaginable.

What the Future Holds

Beloveds,
 
In these days of harmonic dissonance,
we must be careful of what we say
and what we do.

Our sometimes venomous ideas
and violent arguments may backfire.

What may happen is this---the very people
we believe we despise today,
our daughters and sons will love tomorrow.

There is a strong possibility
that in their Love,
they will betray our hate
and marry those
we thought were our enemies.

Our children will have children
that we will learn to Love
because some part of them is US.
And then there will be no enemy.
 
If this is so,
then isn't far easier to begin today
to offer others the Love and Compassion
We Seek for Ourselves?

Isn't this the way to experience
a Vivid Peace with Hope
and True Joy In Our Lifetimes?

Breathe and Exhale Deeply10 Times.

What will You choose for your Future?

To live alone with hate
or to be nurtured with Loving Respect
by your children and grandchildren?

I Choose Love!

Responsibility and Unity!

Beloved Radiant ONES---

The Moon and the Stars light the night sky with hope
so that even in darkness we find our way.

At daybreak the Sun rises and awakens the world.
Ocean tides shift as fish journey.

Slumbering trees feel the gentle breeze of the Wind
and birds greet us with a morning song.

All Creations have a purpose and work
together in Loving Unity.

As humans, we too must do our part
and live our good purpose so that our communities,
nations and the World can Prosper in Peace.

We have a responsibility and an obligation to educate
and nurture our children in Safe Communities of Love
in a World of Peace and Prosperity!

I am willing to take responsibility for the well-being
of Our Earth and Our World by using my gifts
to help others so that we can All actively work,
prosper, and live together in Unity through Love.

Today Joy moves through me as I learn
compassion and humility.

I am ONE with all sentient beings…the sky, the clouds,
the sun, the rain, the trees that sway and dance in the wind,
and the birds that greet me in song.


I am One with the Spirit of Mother Theresa, Mohandis,
Malcolm, Martin, John, and Edward
as well as Ruth, Isaac, Joshua, Moses, 
Mary, Jesus, Khadeeja, Mohammed, Shams, Rumi,
Buddha, Kuan Yin and Sojourner Truth.


I am ONE with the woman suffering from breast cancer
and the man suffering and dying from lung cancer
and the woman in Afghanistan whose family was killed by a drone.


I am ONE with the homeless woman pushing the cart
with all her worldly possessions and warning us of
our greed though we don’t often listen.


I am One with the Tibetan who was told by Chairman Mao
that religion is poison and the Palestinian wandering,
unable to return to his homeland.


I am One with the starving children everywhere
and the Israeli settler with a gun in his hand.


I am One with all those Ascended,
every child born at this moment
and the great-grandparents who are taking
their last breath on this Earth Realm.


I am ONE with the artist struggling to show us the way
and the politician disgraced in shame.


I am ONE with those who have awakened in Love
and those filled with disappointment or fear.


Circumstances make no difference to me
for I embrace the journey and see the Divine
in those who may not see the Divine in themselves.


I am One with All World Leaders who need
more courage to say stop the killing everywhere
and the Dalai Lama whom asks us to live in peace.


In my dreams the Buffalo Woman,
the morning dove and the golden hawk
guide me as my heart becomes filled
with ancient prayers of all traditions.


I am One with the caterpillar and the butterfly.


I am One with the Buddhist, the Christian, the Jew,
the Moslem, the Bahai, the Hindu, the Yoruba, the Janist,
the Naturalist, the One who doesn’t believe in G-d
and the One Lost in their material identity
and always needing more….


Today Joy moves through me as compassion, humility
and understanding become a way of life...


For In You--- I see the Reflection of Me
and know that through Love...
WE ARE ONE.

Joy and Sorrow

Beloveds---

When  we lose our jobs, or our homes; when we learn that we are ill and can not be  cured; or when we say our final goodbyes to a Loved One-- we discover what it  feels like to be broken.  Sorrow is forever knocking at our door.

How do we pick  up the pieces of our broken lives?  We open the door to Love.  With Love will come dear, old friends Compassion and Mercy. They are like Sunshine to the Clouds of  Sorrow. And then, there are the tender moments and times of forgiveness and healing that bring  the Rainbow of Joy.  Rarely in life does one travel without the other.

Today Breathe Deeply at least 10 Times.  Even  when Sorrow comes, Joy is ever-present to see us through the difficult times;  and hold us tenderly with Love!    We too must try always to offer Compassion and Mercy.

Peace is Possible through Compassion, Forgiveness, Kindness, Mercy and Love!

Faith In Goodness...

Beloveds---

These are times when
the light of Love
sometimes feels dim.

People are suffering.

How do we heal?

We heal through the Faith
in our own Goodness.

Each kind act  makes
the light more vibrant.

We must open our hearts
so the  light of compassion
shines with hope.

At every moment we have
the opportunity to be Good
and to offer our lives in service to Good.

The Light of Love is the greatest
gift within you. Believe it.

When we act with generosity of  spirit,
we make Kindness our practice
and  help heal our wounded  world.

Affirmation:
I heal through my good acts and by sharing
the Light of Love within me!
Kindness Is My Practice!

Prayer Vibrations

Beloveds---
 I Breathe Deeply Four Times as I sit, hear and feel the vibration of prayers of Buddhists, Christians, Jews and Moslems.

My heart opens even more as I Breathe  In Love and Exhale Love, again and again.

Now I feel the Drum Beat calling All Indigenous People who honor Our Mother Earth in her Majesty and Her Waters that Sustain Us.   So many people have forgotten The Mother.

I Breathe again with Appreciation and Understanding.  I Re-Member to Honor Mother Earth-Heart!

Every time we choose patience or tolerance; every act of compassion or hope; every faithful word, and action offered with unselfish Love brings Joy to the Mother and Father  Creator of the Uni-Verse.

Today as I walk to the rhythm of the drum, I will Breathe In Hope and Patience.  I will  Exhale Unselfish Love.

The Rainbow Heart of Love!

Today I pray to walk with compassion, humility, loving-kindness, and right words with right actions. 

I Breathe Deeply Four Times and open my Heart and Soul to honor and receive Divine Grace. 

I honor the Ancients, the Ancestors and All those who have Ascended Into the Rainbow Heart of Love. 

I continue to Breathe and feel the Spirit of Love awakening every cell within my body.  

With humility, I Give Thanks  for the Blessings and Miracles of Hope and Joy that are  manifesting on Earth and throughout the Uni-Verse as many Awaken to the Truth that lives through the Eternal Songs of Love. 

Again I Breathe Deeply Four Times.  I allow myself to remember and feel the Love Songs.

To Our Blessed Creator I pray and ask for the Courage and Faith to live within the vision of hope; to radiate Light and joyfully share the Truthful Songs of Love imprinted in my heart; dancing and living in my Soul! 

I Breathe Deeply and Sing.  We Will Always Be ONE In the Rainbow Heart of Love!      

We Are the Majority!

 History has taught us that diplomacy and conversation are the only ways to move forward with good intent. We know that violence will never provide  long term solutions to the many challenges facing our Human Collective.

Have we forgotten our good efforts of diplomacy. Why have we stopped talking and listening to eachother. Fear, hatred, greed and injustice appear to have become aligned. In many instances, our sense of right or wrong is driven by mis-understanding, as well as a desire to control and promulgate dis-respect of eachother.

Because of wrong actions by a few, we have forgotten Peace in Our Hearts. The truth is, some of us have even forgotten what it is to Love.

I ponder children without hope killing children on city streets or drones, rockets, and ak-47's destroying babies, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors across our precious Earth/Heart.

I allow myself to cry in anger and despair.

I Breathe and Exhale Deeply Ten Times and honor the Master Creator and all sentient beings with Love.

Then I gather my good energy. Tears act as an opening for my heart to join the many other beautiful hearts desiring to build bridges of cooperation across the Earth. I breathe deeply in Gratitude for the Hope and Faith that lives in my broken heart.

Let Us Pray for compassionate listening, loving actions, healing and peaceful resolutions.

Please answer Love's Call. We Are the Majority. Open your hearts with patience, cooperation and a desire for understanding. Join me and offer your strong voices and prayers of compassion, forgiveness, Love and mercy for all of Humanity.

May we align our minds and our hearts with a willingness to act with peace, live in peace and become the Peace.

We Are the Majority. May we vision and build a world where all children are nurtured and safe from violent actions.

May we build bridges of cooperation so that that all children can Love, live, dream, achieve, and prosper on a sustainable Earth/Heart with a vivid Loving Peace for hundreds of generations to come!

Mazi & The Queen Of Wands ( A fable to share with Children that still needs an illustrator)

A very long time ago, far, far away, nestled between the stars was a Land called Peace. Everything was beautiful there. The grass and trees were green and all kinds of birds flew in the sky. Cardinals, doves, eagles, hummingbirds, mina birds, parrots and lot’s of other birds. And the Land was rich with cl...ean water to drink, and all kinds of fruits and vegetables for people to eat.

There was a little boy who liked to call himself Mazi. He was one of many, many sons of a great emperor. As Mazi grew, so special was his ability to help his mother and father, all his brothers, sisters and other people agree to work together that he achieved great fortune. He was flexible like a monkey and began to think like a crocodile.

When he grew up, he became the Emperor. People called him Emperor Mazi. For many years it seemed like every project he touched turned to gold, just like King Midas. Success was his.

But as the years passed Emperor Mazi began to forget who he was. He forgot the Love in his heart.So even with all his money and things he wasn't happy.

One day while vacationing by the ocean,he met a young woman named Imani. She made him laugh and laugh and he began to be happy. Because Imani helped him feel the Love in his heart.

So then, Mazi the Emperor thought “maybe I could buy her!” But she wasn’t for sale. And the next day when he went to see her, Imani had gone.

And Mazi was very sad because though he didn’t know it, he had lost the Love in his heart.

Imani went on a long journey, first to college and then traveling from Star to Star, learning about the languages and cultures of many different people.

She spent years discovering who she was. For a time she wanted wealth, and to be considered as especially important to other people. But then she became very sick and when she had recovered, Imani remembered that she must live only with Love in her heart.

After Imani was better, she did many things. She began writing, singing and telling stories to children. She accomplished so much and wherever she went, Imani helped people open their hearts.

Imani never forgot Mazi and always told children the story of a great emperor who had tried to buy a young woman and called himself Mazi.

Now Imani told the children that on other stars, the name Mazi meant mister. So all the children laughed and laughed at the Emperor who called himself Mister.

Because they knew that people could not be bought. And that Love was something special to share.

Every time Imani told that story, far away the Emperor felt Love in his heart. And whenever he thought of Imani, he was sad because he thought he had lost his soulmate.

When he slept, Mazi began to have the same dream over and over. In the dream a voice told him to find Imani so that she could help him to build a rainbow bridge across the galaxy.

It was a New Time, and important for All People to become One Heart. But the Emperor didn’t listen.

Time passed by… Moon, after moon, after moon. And Mazi still didn’t have the courage to listen to his heart.

Now many people in the Land of Peace knew that the emperor was very sad. They decided to have a Birthday Festival by the ocean and invited artists, performers and numerous other people from different stars.

While Mazi was sleeping on the night before the festival, he had that same dream about Imani and the Rainbow Bridge.

And when he awoke he remembered that it was his birthday and that he had to be happy because if he wasn’t, all the people in the Land of Peace would be sad.

So that day he dressed very simply. He made a birthday promise to himself. And then Mazi went to his Birthday Festival.

There was a big art exhibition with beautiful pictures, sculpture, quilts and many other exquisite crafts.

The festival was busy with people eating, laughing, singing and dancing.

For hours Mazi smiled, ate, sang and danced--hugging everyone he saw. He thanked all the people for making his birthday special.

Finally he just wanted to sit by the water. As he walked towards the ocean, in the distance he heard a voice that sounded a little familiar and lots of children laughing.

Mazi felt his heart beating boom, boom, boom, boom boom, boom, boom, boom, boom boom!

He kept walking towards the laughter. And his heart started opening. Then the most magical thing happened…

Even though it was sunny, water came from the sky. Imani looked up from the children into the eyes of Mazi.

Suddenly time stopped and when it started again, all the people in the Land of Peace and all the people across the Galaxy, felt Mazi’s Love for Imani, the Queen Of Wands.

And Guess What…

A Giant Rainbow Bridge Appeared In The Sky.

Your Turtle Wisdom!

Beloveds,

Even in the most difficult of times; like the Turtle, when we become patient with Ourselves and the World, we develop clarity.

Then we are able breathe in the Oxygen of the Earth gratefully and travel slowly across unknown waters or lands to safely to Victory.

We grow stronger with each day.  As we come to know the essence of Our Be-ing, we are more able to offer compassion, forgiveness, kindness and mercy as a way of  Becoming, Celebrating and Nurturing Love.

Slowly Breathe and Exhale Deeply Four Times.  Open your heart to the Creator's Infinite Grace.

There is no need to rush to beat the deceptive, selfish, greedy Hares trying to manipulate your Ego.

Decide to honor and use the gift of your Turtle Wisdom.  Do All that you CAN with Love.

Remember, every challenge requires clarity, deep listening,  Patience, Faith, and a Strong Belief and willingness to achieve a Good Outcome!

Again, Slowly Breathe and Exhale Deeply Four Times. Today, Walk With Your Turtle Wisdom!

I first wrote and shared this poem on September 9th, 2001 (9/11).  Little did I know that 2 days later  here in NYC and throughout the World, we would all be called to search the depth of our hearts and try to begin healing .  The truth is, we are still healing and struggling with acceptance of others.

Today on 9/11/2014  I Offer Prayers of Love for Peace, Cooperation and Compassion.  Please Join Me!!

Beloveds---

You are a Peacemaker mandated
to create a montage of LOVE all around the earth.
What will you do?

What if right now you are asked
to become a vessel of the Divine Heart…

Will you set aside your hidden fears?

Can you have the courage,
integrity and propensity to share your LOVE?

If you meet someone different than you,
suffering from xenophobia
and they are extremely unkind
because all they know is fear and hatred…
will you show them how to be
mellifluous with LOVE for ALL people?

You Have Awakened.
You are Re-Membering your dreams of LOVE.

Intrinsic in you is the desire
to create overtures of LOVE
for our children…
and all people through education, business, government,
art, music, dance, theatre and all art forms.

What Will You Do?

Every sentient being is an incarnation of LOVE.
LOVE is another name for

I invite you to open your hearts with compassion and offer Prayers of Gratitude With Hope For A Loving Peace throughout the Every Uni-Verse.

No matter our troubles, let us clear our minds and vision only our Collective Loving Potential.  Breathe Deeply Ten Times. In Love.  Out Love.  In Love. Out Love.  In Love.  Out Love.

Now Let Us Pray...
Dearest MotherFatherBlessedCreator Of Every Uni-Verse, We Honor YOU in All Names, In All Cultures and All Religions. We Honor You In Every Believer and In All Those Still Questioning Your Existence. 

We listen deeply.  We see and feel the majesty in all Your Creations. We join with our brothers and sisters throughout this planet Awakening to Love and know that Your Love flows through All Living Things.

We bow in Gratitude for we have been and are taught by Ancestors, Elders, Peers and Children.  For the gift of Love is freely offered by all those willing to give and receive.
